Yes, and that is how most of them are booked. If your driver is already passing Kitulgala, Matale or Riverston, adding the activity costs a fraction of what it would as a standalone day. Tell us and we will slot it into your existing itinerary and requote the whole thing in one number.
Because unlike a transfer or a tour, the cost genuinely depends on three things we cannot know in advance: where you are staying, how many of you there are, and whether it fits into a day you are already driving. Publishing a single figure would mean inflating it to cover the worst case. We would rather quote you properly within twelve hours.
Several are excellent with children — the village cooking, the water park, a jeep safari and the tea factory. Others honestly are not: the Knuckles hikes, waterfall trekking and rafting have minimum ages and real fitness requirements. Tell us the ages at enquiry and we will say plainly which to avoid.
Kitulgala is Grade 2 to 3, which is the entry level for guided rafting and does not require experience. We only use licensed operators with current insurance, a full safety briefing, helmets and life jackets, and a guide in every raft. There is a minimum age and a weight limit, and we will tell you both before you book.
Most of these need 48 hours. Eco camping, the Batticaloa package and multi-night Ayurveda need a week or more, and rafting is weather-dependent in the monsoon months. Ask early and we will tell you honestly what is realistic for your dates.
